As our school is Church of England Controlled, great importance is placed on the development and influence of Christian ideals.
In addition to RE and Daily Worship, we encourage social and personal development, emphasising awareness, care, consideration and respect for each other. Pupils shall, on each school day, take part in an act of collective worship. The worship will take account of the ages of the children and be mainly of a broadly Christian character.
Parents have the right to withdraw their children for all, or part of, the religious education and collective worship provided. Any child who is withdrawn will be asked to sit and read in the central area, as the staff will be involved in the collective worship or the RE lesson.
During each week the collective worship varies on different days.
|Tuesday||Worship with Reverend Michael McHugh or the 'Open the Book' team|
|Wednesday||Key Stage 2 Collective Worship|
|Thursday||Key Stage 1 Collective Worship|
|Friday||Golden Book Celebration Worship|
Throughout the year we hold key services at the village church. These include Harvest, Christmas, Easter and the end of year Leavers’ service. We welcome everyone to these services.
