Great Bedwyn School pulled out the stops for this year’s Children in Need appeal. We all came in dressed in spots and took part in activities throughout the day such as a spotty treasure hunt, teddy bear raffle and a Pudsey face coin drop, as well as looking at the important work that Children in Need does and where the money we raise is going to be used.
The highlight of our day was when Pudsey Bear surprised us by joining our assembly! BBC Wiltshire came along and did a live broadcast to the whole of Wiltshire. Rosie and Oscar from Year 2 and William and Felix from Year 4 did a brilliant job of being interviewed live on air, and Mrs Earl and Year 6 performed a rap that they had written. Pudsey drew the raffle ticket for the giant teddy bear, and the lucky winner was Amy from Year 1.
The broadcast that went out on air on Friday 17th November can be heard here:
We raised a grand total of £432 – which is amazing. Thank you to everyone who donated so generously.
