Prospective parents are welcome to visit the school, please make an appointment beforehand.

We are holding an Open Afternoon for prospective parents of the Reception 2018/19 intake on Wednesday 29th November, between 2pm and 6pm. No appointment is necessary for this – please feel free to drop in between these times to have a look around the school and have an opportunity to talk to teachers, Governors and the Headteacher.

Great Bedwyn School is a controlled school and, therefore, the school admission arrangements are determined by the Council. Parents are to apply for a place via their local area authority.  Our catchment area roughly covers the villages of Great Bedwyn, Little Bedwyn, Chisbury, Marten, Wilton and East Grafton.  The full Wiltshire Council catchment area list can be accessed here.

Online applications for those living in Wiltshire can be made via The deadline for applying for a school place for September 2018 is Noon on 15 January 2018.

All Reception children will be offered full time provision whenever their birthday falls. Parents will be able to defer entry to school but not beyond the academic year in which they are due to start.
