At Great Bedwyn School, we aim to provide our pupils with a high quality science education which fosters curiosity and excitement and gives them the foundations from which they can build an understanding of the world around them.

Through following the National Curriculum 2014 for science we strive to ensure children have a foundational knowledge of the disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics and develop an understanding of the methods, processes and uses of science.

At Great Bedwyn School we use Snap science materials which focus on an investigative, hands-on approach encouraging children to pose scientific questions, plan and carry out science enquiries and interpret the data collected. Where possible, science links to other parts of the curriculum in a topic based approach.
